Temple Lights

Friday Shannyn, John and Jack came down to hang out with us, which is always a welcomed treat. We decided it would be fun to take the kids to see the Temple lights, so we headed up to Mesa and since we were out that way we thought we'd stop and have dinner at Tia Rosa's, yummy! It was a great night, there was a little chill in the air and the light were really beautiful. It was nice to put the right perspective back into the season and remember our Savior and all that he has done for us.

Happy Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving has come and gone already... while we wish that we could have been in St. George with our families, we are very grateful to the Modrell/Florez family for taking us in for the second year in a row. You guys are the greatest! We hope that everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving and want you to know how blessed we are to have you in our lives.

It's Raining!

Tyler woke up this morning to the sound of rain, he was so excited he came and got me so he could test out his new rain boots. Of course I was to tired to actually get him dressed so as you can see we just put them on over his pajamas and with his jacket he was off and running. Rain is almost like a white Christmas for us!

Weekend Review

This weekend was very exciting... it started off with a surprise visit from my sister Stacey From Oregon. Friday was of course Halloween, so the girls made a spooky halloween dinner and then we went trick or treating. Saturday we went to the Airport open house which would have been really cool if it was in January or Febuary, it was pretty hot so we didn't stay to long. Saturday evening we had a nice family dinner, my dad quite the feast. Sunday we had Haylie's blessing, Jonathan did a wonderful job. All and all it was a fabulous weekend, it just went by way to fast. I want to thank everyone that came and made it such a special weekend.

Today in church we learned about the importance of family; So, I just want to take this opportunity to let all my family members know how much I love and appreciate them. I come from such a wonderful family and am now blessed to have a wonderful family of my own. I love you Jonathan, Tyler  and Haylie.

Autumn Festival

Saturday went up to Anthem for the Autumn Festival; the festival wasn't very exciting but the company was great. We came, We saw, We snacked and We left. After the festival Shannyn and John were kind enough to have us over for a bbq, yummy yum!  Later the was some serious Rock Bank to be played.

A day at the zoo

Finally, some sweater weather!!

I know it's hard to believe when the rest of the country is enjoying wonderful fall weather, we're still in the mid 90's, but yesterday was a super cool 68 here in good old Gilbert AZ. It was great, we all finally had a reason to wear our sweaters!! Our friends from Surprise AZ, John & Minerva and their daughter came down to visit and joined us at SanTan Village, which is a really neat outdoor mall. HOORAY FOR FALL!

Haylie is trying to beat the heat a little bit by wearing some super cool sunglasses. Tyler is just being goofy Tyler. Haylie is close to 9 lbs now, and almost 2 months old!!! my how fast time flies. Tyler is still improving his "not the only child anymore" thing, but he is really being a good little helper with her.
